The Texas A&M Microphysiological Lead Optimization and Toxicity Screening (MLOTS) program is a component of the Gulf Coast Consortia network of drug discovery core facilities offering in vitro pharmacologic lead optimization and pre-clinical toxicity profiling services to academic and commercial users. MLOTS is founded on the Fail Early strategy designed to identify cardiovascular, neuronal, and liver toxicologic liabilities using 2D and 3D cell-based models and organ-on-a-chip models in early-stage lead candidate molecules.
